Drum lessons at Masquerade are tailored to each individual student, ensuring a fun, dynamic, and structured learning experience. Lessons cover all aspects of drumming—from the very basics of stick grip, posture, and ergonomic techniques, to developing coordination, timing, and control across the full drum kit. Students will explore musicality in depth, gaining an appreciation for different genres, rhythms, and styles, while also building essential skills in reading and interpreting drum notation.
For those who wish to formalize their progress, students may prepare for Trinity College London examinations under the guidance of our experienced tutors.
Lessons are open to all ages, from 5 years upwards, and take place in our state-of-the-art sound studio at M Space, providing the ideal environment for focused practice and creativity. Students are required to bring their own drumsticks and practice pad.
TUTOR MATTIA SCOTTI
Born in Italy in 1984, Mattia's passion for music started at the age of 12 after participating in his first live concert. In 2012, he earned his music diploma from the New Modern Music Academy (NAMM) in Milan. He currently is a music teacher with QSIM and La Voix Studios. He is the drummer for the well-known local band "Captain Romance & The Danger Dogs" that participated in X Factor Malta.
