Jonathan Ellul (Musical Director)

From an early age Jonathan was always inclined towards music. He started out by learning classical piano for a couple of years and switching to guitar when he was 15. He specialises in a variety of contemporary styles such as Blues, Reggae, Funk, Pop, Rockand Jazz.

Jonathan studied at the prestigious Institute Of Contemporary Music Performance (UK) where he did a Higher Diploma, which he finished with distinction. Furthermore he was offered a place on the degree course, which he also completed with First Class Honours, and was awarded “The Most Improved Guitar player” across the 3 years of the course.

Once returning to Malta, Jonathan quickly established himself as a very dedicated teacher, having students coming from all over the country and teaching in variety of settings. He is a very sought out session musician, performing regularly alongside some of the greatest musicians in Malta, including: The Big Band Brothers, Brass House Unit, Sigmund Mifsud and the Maltese Philharmonic Orchestra.

His goal is to achieve the highest level of professionalism, satisfying the needs of any employer, audience and last but not least his own musical aptitude.
