anthony bezzina has been an established theatre director for over 35 years and is now a pillar of the local theatre scene. His work has taken him to the US, UK, Italy, and several other countries, enriching his artistic journey with international experience. In 1997, after many successful years working in Malta’s theatre industry, Tony and his wife Veronica founded Masquerade Theatre Company—a milestone that marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter filled with acclaimed productions and creative projects.
Tony is also synonymous with Masquerade School for the Performing Arts, which he founded and continues to lead as principal. Through his vision and dedication, the school has grown into one of Malta’s foremost performing arts institutions. For over 25 years, he has taught, mentored, and inspired countless students, guiding them towards achieving their full artistic potential.
As a director, Tony’s portfolio spans a wide range of productions. His musical credits include My Fair Lady, Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Annie, The King and I, Little Shop of Horrors, Cabaret, 1565: The Musical, The Rocky Horror Show, The Last Five Years, Jekyll & Hyde, Matilda the Musical, Grease The Musical, Oliver! and We Will Rock You Y@P.
