Launched in 1998, Masquerade Theatre Arts School has become one of Malta’s top Performing Arts Schools, offering a range of classes in drama, dance and singing for children and adults alike. The school is the Malta Centre for Trinity Guildhall Examination Board (UK), giving students the opportunity to be examined in Speech & Drama subjects, which include Solo Acting, Musical Theatre, Performance Arts, World Dramatists, Voice, Communication, and more.

Apart from having weekly classes, Masquerade students regularly benefit from having the opportunity to take part in various specialised activities including workshops, drama camps, and master-classes conducted by international guest tutors. Therefore, students get to experience different teaching techniques, assisting their development as performers.

The school forms part of Masquerade Theatre Company, established in 1997.

CONCERN
Masquerade is concerned with the well-being of its students and the development of their character through the discipline of theatre and performance. Therefore, Masquerade gives each individual the necessary attention they need in order for them to benefit fully from the courses.

COMMITMENT
Masquerade commits itself to creating a friendly, supportive and fun-loving environment, promoting and committing to the school’s objectives. The school was set up to create progressive courses designed to enable young students to build confidence, learn how to co-ordinate mind and body, improve personal and social behaviour, respond to direction, develop memory and think creatively. However, Masquerade also provides a deeper level of education for adult students, widening their perspective of the theatre arts.

COMMUNICATION
Masquerade will enhance every person’s ability to communicate in a range of settings, and help improve communication skills. We believe that being at ease when communicating with others is a beneficial trait for any person willing to succeed in today’s world. Therefore, Masquerade strives to train their students’ communicative skills, by means of performing.
