Masquerade's first edition of The Monologue Slam came to an end with last night's grand finale. With over 70 students, with ages ranging from 6 - 17, participating in all three rounds this year, the final 16 went head-to-head for gold in their category, performing in front of their friends, family, tutors and a panel of judges consisting of Manuel Cauchi, Charlotte Stafrace and Thomas Camilleri.
Lucia Mifsud was crowned winner in Category 1, with runner-up Zea Mamo Imbroll, while Eva Di Battista was awarded first place in Category 2, followed by runner-up Giles Rooney. In the older categories, Martina Schembri took first place in Category 3, with Haya Kankun as runner-up, and in Category 4 winner Kurt Zammit was followed by runner-up Isaac Mifsud. Winners and runners up were all awarded great prizes.
Masquerade would like to thank all the judges who joined us in each of the rounds, all the parents for their support, and most importantly each and every student who participated and worked so hard together with their tutors, to develop their skills and truly shine on stage.
