Masquerade welcomes Barbara John BA, B Litt(Hons), FTCL, LTCL(TESL) for the final Trinity College London Drama and Speech examination session for this scholastic year.
Barbara John has worked in the area of voice improvement, public speaking and communication for the past twenty years. In this time she has helped a large number of young people and adults develop their self-confidence and competence in expressing themselves accurately, persuasively and without fear. She has extensive experience working with and helping children discover the power of their voice. Her work has taken her to India, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Barbara holds a B.Litt(Hons) from the University of Melbourne and a Fellowship from Trinity College, London, in the teaching of Speech and Drama, and a Licentiate Diploma in the Teaching of English as a Second Language. Barbara has researched and designed a comprehensive English Pronunciation program for non-native speakers.
Barbara is on the panel of Drama and Speech Examiners for Trinity College, London and a member of the National Speakers' Association of Australia. She is President of the Speech and Drama Teachers' Association of Victoria Inc.
