Karen Mount arrived in Malta this week to examine students from various schools in Drama, Speech and Musical Theatre subjects.
Karen trained as an actress at the Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama. On leaving college Karen worked extensively in theatre playing a wide range of parts both in London and all over the country. Karen's work also includes television and film. Throughout her varied theatrical career Karen has always tutored budding young actors and actresses for entry into drama school, festivals and exam work. Currently Karen is teaching in London and has just won an award from the Good Schools Guide for best results for her Trinity and Guildhall entrants for two years running. Karen especially enjoys devising work in the context of drama workshops with young people. Writing and assistant directing for the Tight Assets Theatre Company radio plays was another enjoyable aspect to her career which gave her a taste for writing plays for teenagers. She has also experienced life on the other side of the fence working as a casting director with the renowned and very successful casting directors Liz England and Michael Barnes where she gained valuable insight into interview technique which she uses in her work with young people.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all students who have chosen to take Trinity College London examinations throughout this last scholastic year.
