20 October 2016
Following hot in the heels of our highly successful pantos Jack and the Beanstalk (2008), Aladdin (2009), The Curse of Snow White (2012), and Little Red & You Know Who… (2013) this Christmas Masquerade returns to the Manoel Theatre with a hilarious offering Puss In Boots to be staged between 23 December and 8 January 2017. Written by Malcolm Galea and directed by anthony bezzina, Puss In Boots will have musical direction by Kris Spiteri, choreography by Elena Zammit, and vocal coaching by Tina Gatt Frendo. Besides featuring a star-studded cast of panto favourites led by Malcolm Galea as dame, Stephen Oliver as the baddie, Tina Rizzo as principal girl and Katherine Brown as Puss, Puss In Boots will also feature some children in one of the scenes.
We are therefore calling all Masquerade students aged between 5 and 11 years (10-11 year olds will be accepted as long as they have a small frame) who wish to take part in the pantomime to let us know by no later than Saturday 22nd October.
Masquerade asks you kindly to respect that the decision of children cast is solely at the discretion of the creative team.
