A group of Masquerade students were invited to perform a drama piece entitled Connecting Sounds of Europe during the official opening of Europe House, the new quarters of the European Parliament Office and the European Commission Representation in Malta. For a few moments Dar l-Ewropa was transformed into a playground for its young European citizens. The students performed a medley of nursery rhymes, creating a symphony of different sounds and movements and encouraging the audience to reflect on the sounds of a diverse and connected Europe.
The opening was presided over by President of Malta George Abela, European Parliament Vice-President Stavros Lambrinidis and European Commissioner Joe Borg. The activity coincided with the 20th anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall. President George Abela met the students after the performance and thanked them for their contribution while encouraging them to pursue their performance studies.
