Masquerade presents a traditional pantomime at the Manoel Theatre.  ALADDIN is written by Malcolm Galea, directed by anthony bezzina, musical direction by Kevin Abela, choreography by Jes Sciberras, sets by Harry Borg and costumes by Ernest Camilleri. New ideas set in a traditional context, a well-written and locally-based script, talented and enthusiastic performers combined with great scenery and lighting, great comedy, and an appeal to children and adults alike.  For all you pantomime lovers, prepare yourselves for a fabulous night of entertainment that is truly an event not to be missed.

In this hilarious, but uncompromising comedy, four prison inmates await the arrival of an art teacher from the local college, but when she fails to arrive they endeavour to teach themselves how to paint. Their ‘journey of creation’ takes them on a collision course with the prison authorities, and with each other. Doors are opened and imaginations run riot – and that’s when their problems really start…
