Monique Dimech Genuis

Monique has recently played the role of Constanze in Masquerade’s highly-acclaimed production of Amadeus performed at the Manoel Theatre. She formed part of Teatru Manoel Youth Theatre (TMYT) since 2017. Under the direction of Denise Mulholland, she performed in both Shakespeare in Pieces (2017) and Hush (2018) at the Manoel Theatre. Further to this, she has taken part in the University of Malta’s Students' Fest for four years running, playing various leading roles such as Mulan and Mrs Potts, while reading for a Bachelor of Education in Italian and French. Monique has also taken part in the following pantos; Merry Poppins, Treasure Island, and recently in Masquerade’s panto, Alice in Wonderland at the Manoel Theatre. In 2017, Monique played the role of Anne in the play Arrival at the MADC One Act Play Festival where she was nominated for Best Actress. Other recent productions include The Crucible and Baxx Baxx both staged at the Manoel Theatre.
