Ian is a freelance director. He works in a variety of contexts from large scale main house productions of classics to small scale work in studios, schools and colleges.
For the last year Ian has been Education Consultant for Drama at Teatru Manoel and Internal Trainer with an international banking organisation.
He trained at University of Northumbria (Newcastle) and ARTTS International, a residential television and theatre school in York.
His credits include: Lord of the Flies (Teatru Manoel) Hamlet (UK & Rome tour) Alice in Wonderland, Macbeth, Romeo & Juliet, An Inspector Calls, Othello and Of Mice and Men (all UK Tours) Footloose (MK Theatre, Milton Keynes) and Guys and Dolls (Regent Theatre, Stoke-on-Trent).
He has also worked on such productions as: War Horse (The National) The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time (The National) Much Ado about Nothing (Shakespeare's Globe) and with such organisations as Glyndebourne, Matthew Bourne, and the Ambassador Theatre Group.
