MASQUERADE'S SUMMER EXPERIENCE IS BACK!
Masquerade's Summer Experience 2010 will give students of all ages and abilities an exciting opportunity to explore the performing arts. A variety of workshops will take place between 19 and 31st July offering different age groups the chance to work with experts that are specialised in dance, singing and acting.
Masquerade offers opportunities to performers to explore creative practice and to meet like-minded participants. This year the workshops will offer participants a unique view on performance while being confronted with challenging approaches. The training offered is a chance to explore various methods and techniques in contemporary performing arts education and training.
Guest tutors theatre director Paul David Gough, musical director Luke Thornton and Choreographer Belinda Basu will deliver a series of workshops focusing on both the uniqueness of a performer's individual skill and their role as an ensemble player.
SUMMER EXPERIENCE 2010 will give students of all ages and abilities an exciting opportunity to look at what it is that makes us want to be on the stage! From first rehearsals to opening night, classes in Singing Dancing and Acting will integrate, showing how all three disciplines can work together bringing Characters and Storylines to life!
There will be classes for children aged 7 and above and workshops for adults. Different sessions will be organised for experienced performers and beginners. Groups are divided according to age and experience. Students will attend 3 hours daily for 10 days (afternoons or evenings). Towards the end of the second week, the participants will showcase their work to their family and friends in a final demonstration at the end of the training course.
